There will apparently be a groom&#039;s cake. I&#039;m not totally sold, but... *sigh*

And why is it called a &quot;groom&#039;s cake&quot; when all I get to do is give it to other people?</description>

I don&#039;t have your e-mail address, so I&#039;m putting these links here.  I hope these links help to answer your questions about the function of the Groom&#039;s Cake in modern weddings (Southern or otherwise).  I was not aware of the more superstitious aspects of this cake, but apparently you are doing a disservice to the spinsters of the world if you choose not to have one.  :)
